Marlborough/Framingham – James Paul Heskey, 47, a resident of Marlborough and a talented musician, passed away unexpectedly due to an acute medical condition in the early morning hours of September 22, 2023. At the time of his passing James was doing what he loved, quietly playing his guitar.
Born in Newton and raised in Framingham, James was the youngest son to William and Dorothy (Hamilton) Heskey. He was a graduate of Framingham North High School and following his lifelong passion for music, studied at Berkley College of Music. James was an accomplished drummer and guitarist. For many years, James could be found playing gigs throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
He also had been employed at Hannaford Market as a manager of the dairy department. James also shared a passion for sports with his father, most especially the Boston Red Sox. Together, they enjoyed attending games and special father & son time.
In addition to his parents, James is survived by his older brother Kenneth W. Heskey, all who reside in Northborough. He also leaves a niece, Alexzandria D. Heskey, his aunts, Jeannie Zabchuk of Newton and Charlotte Hamilton of Billerica. Family and friends will remember James for his serious yet shy and loving personality.
Calling hours will be held from 6pm-8pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. James’ funeral and a period of fellowship will be held at 10am on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Rice Memorial Baptist Church, 85 Lincoln Street, Northborough. Following James’ wishes, cremation will follow his services. A private burial will follow at a later time.
