Marlborough – George F. Wing, 82, of Marlborough died unexpectedly Saturday September 23, 2023 at Marlborough Hospital. He was the husband of Judith M. (MacKenzie) Wing for the past 59 years.
He was born in Dexter, Maine the son of the late George and Ella (Clukey) Wing and was a graduate of Dexter High School Class of 1959. George was also a graduate of Gorham State Teachers College, where he received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Education. He later received a Master’s Degree in Science from WPI. He taught Physics for over 35 years at Maynard High School retiring in July 2000.
He was an avid baseball card and coin collector. George was a devoted family man and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a people person and loved being able to make others laugh. He was also an active member of City Church in Marlborough. George loved God’s Word and sharing his knowledge with others through Bible studies, men’s Groups, and Prayer meetings.
He leaves his wife Judith M. (MacKenzie) Wing of Marlborough; two sons, Christopher J. Wing of Fayetteville, NC and Michael J. Wing of Hudson; a brother Charles Wing of Pittsfield, Maine; six grandchildren, Michael, Sarrah, Stefan, Stasia, Ronald and Tessa. He also had 10 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday September 30 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Marlborough Moose Lodge, 67 Fitchburg Street, Marlborough. There are no calling hours. Following cremation burial will be private.
