WESTBOROUGH – Public Health Director Jennifer Sullivan has received the October Employee Excellence Award.
Sullivan has been working for Westborough for a little over two years.
She has over 14 years of experience working in public health. Recently, Sullivan was tasked with coordinating efforts to help the refugee families that recently came to Westborough. Part of her work has included making sure the families are housed and have transportation and the ability to purchase food and other essential items.
In a press release, the Employee Excellence Award Committee said that Sullivan displayed her excellent communication skills by working with the families – many of whom do not speak English fluently – and coordinating with other Westborough departments and local agencies.
“This situation has proven to be a challenge to other communities, but we have been able to properly manage it with Jennifer’s dedication and commitment. She is always on-call, rain or shine, and her efforts should be recognized!” the release read.
