MILFORD – A Northborough resident will be taking the stage and making his debut in the Greater Milford Ballet Company’s production of “The Nutcracker.”

Chris Campbell will be performing the role of Herr Silberhaus.

The production also includes performers from Blackstone, Douglas, Franklin, Hopedale, Mendon, Milford, Millville, Whitinsville and Wrentham along with Cumberland, Lincoln, Newport and Woonsocket, R.I.

The production is under the artistic direction of Cynthia Marnik and Susanna Vennerbeck.

The guest performers this year include Lauren Difede as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Carson Ford as the Cavalier from Newport Contemporary Ballet.

This production has been a traditional favorite for many who return yearly because every year something new is introduced such as a new costume, new set feature or new character to add to the element of surprise. The production is complete with falling snow, special effects, lively duel between Nutcracker Prince and the Mouse King, dolls that magically grow to adult size and a magical dancing bear.

The performance is on Dec. 16 and 17 at 2 p.m. at Milford High School.

Tickets cost $30 and $25 and will be sold at the auditorium depending on availability.

Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the Deane Dance Studio at 508-473-3354 or emailing [email protected].
