Margaret R. StaceyNorth Grafton – Margaret “Peggy” Rose Stacey, age 93, of North Grafton Mass passed away unexpectedly at home Monday December 18, 2023. Born and raised in Worcester Massachusetts, Peggy was the daughter of the late Cornelius Patrick and Margaret (Cox) Ahern.

She is survived by her 7 Children, Neil Stacey and his wife Nancy of Scottsdale AZ, Mark Stacey and his wife Laura of Newburyport Ma, Brian Stacey of Worcester Ma, Mary Stacey of Oxford Ma, Peggy A Stacey of Worcester Ma, John Stacey and his wife Antonietta of Coconut Creek Florida, and Kevin Stacey of Hopkinton Ma. Her former husband Henry Stacey, and her brother Cornelius Jr, both preceded her. She is also survived by her Step Brother John Patrick Hehman of Cincinnati Ohio, 9 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Peggy was a Graduate of Commerce High School of Worcester Class of 1948, and Worcester City School of Nursing Class of 1951. Peggy’s work in the Devoted Nursing profession spanned 54 years, until 2005. She loved being a Nurse, and for most of her working years she was a Private Duty Nurse or employed as a Staff Nurse at various Worcester Hospitals. The last 15 years of her Nursing Career, she was Public Health Nurse for the City of Worcester Massachusetts, primarily working as School Nurse in that role.

Peggy’s happiest years were raising her 7 Children in the large Victorian Home they all shared together for decades in the Columbus Park section of Worcester. She worked very hard to try to give the best that she could to all of her Family. She will be remembered for her duty and dedication for the benefit of others, and never complained about working hard for achievements in life.

All are welcome to gather with Peggy’s family and friends Friday December 22nd from 9:30-10:30am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 015365 followed by the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Church 17 Waterville St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. She will then be laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester.
