Man arrested after pulling knife in Cumberland Farms parking lot

A Northborough man has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and threatening to commit a crime following an incident at Cumberland Farms.

NORTHBOROUGH – A 61-year-old Northborough man faces charges after he allegedly threatened a female in the parking lot of Cumberland Farms.

According to a press release from the Northborough Police Department, officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of Cumberland Farms on Main Street at 12:20 p.m. Jan. 12.

Officers said that a man pulled a knife and threatened to harm a female that was attempting to park her vehicle.

Police said the suspect and victim did not know each other.

The man fled before officers arrived at Cumberland Farms. Police said they located him a short distance away, and he was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon and threatening to commit a crime.

The man will be arraigned in Westborough District Court on Tuesday.
