HUDSON – With the help of a drone, the Hudson Police Department were able to locate two missing juveniles in the woods.

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, at around 7:45 p.m., police received reports that bright lights were shining into passing vehicles from a wood line. Officers responded, and two juveniles fled into the woods. According to Hudson police, the juveniles had been reported as missing earlier in the day from a neighboring community.

According to police, one juvenile was quickly located while the other fled into a thick, dense wooded area.

A drone was deployed. Approximately 1700 feet into the woods from where the juvenile had entered, the drone found the juvenile laying down after about 26 minutes of searching.

Officer Andrew Garceau and Sgt. Sam Leandres were directed to this location by the drone operator and located the juvenile.

Both juveniles were transported to the hospital for evaluation, and the parties that reported them as missing were contacted.
