Intoxicated woman assaults Olive Garden employee, police

MARLBOROUGH – A former employee of the Olive Garden restaurant at 728 Donald Lynch Blvd. is facing several charges after she reportedly broke dishes and assaulted a staff member.

According to information provided by the Marlborough Police Department, at 7:08 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, officers were dispatched to the restaurant for a report of an intoxicated female.

The woman, identified by the victim as Felicia Marrero, formerly worked at the Olive Garden. According to the police, she was heavily intoxicated.

Police said Marrero was denied service when she requested an alcoholic beverage due to her level of intoxication. She allegedly caused a scene, began breaking dishes and attacked the victim, who was an employee. She also damaged the front door of the restaurant.

Marrero fled the scene and was located shortly after in a wooded area nearby. After a brief struggle, she was placed in handcuffs.

While handcuffed, she reportedly kicked police officers before they were able to secure her in the back of the cruiser.

Marrero will be charged with two counts of assault and battery; one count of assault and battery on a police officer; and three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
