Welcome to Presidents Day weekend, also known as the start of February school vacation. Reminder – Monday, Feb. 19, is a federal holiday, with schools and municipal offices closed.

Charity Kickball Tournament

The 21st annual Snowflake Charity Kickball Tournament will take place on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Hudson Elks (back field), Brigham Street. Team check-in will be at 8 a.m.

This year, the main beneficiary will be Brianna Briggs, a 13-year-old who was diagnosed with an aggressive glioma brain tumor. Her parents are out of work to help take care of her and bring her to Boston for treatments.

Donations are being accepted – gift cards that will be used as raffle prizes after the tournament, or financial contributions.

Can and bottle drive

Saturday, Feb. 17, 9 a.m. to noon, Shrewsbury Town Hall. Troops 114 and 7114 will be happy to accept redeemable bottles and cans.

The next drive will be June 1.

Proceeds from the drive will go toward Scouting activities throughout the year.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Heist

Has Anybody Seen $500 Million in Art Lying Around?: Saturday, Feb. 17, noon to 1:30 p.m., Marlborough Public Library, 35 W. Main St., Marlborough. An hour or so after the 1990 St. Patrick’s Day ended, two men dressed as Boston cops entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, stayed for about 90 minutes, and left with 13 pieces of art.

None of the priceless items have been found. Numerous suspects have been named over the years, but none have been arrested. Many are now dead.

Bob Ainsworth, the author of “DUPED,” a fictional account of the robbery, will review the actual details of the theft, the suspects, and the motives behind the world’s most valued art theft. He will also tell the story of his own brush with the infamous crime.

Movie Matinee – “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever:”

Saturday, Feb. 17, 2 to 4:45 p.m., Marlborough Public Library, 35 W. Main St., Marlborough. The people of Wakanda fight to protect their home from intervening world powers as they mourn the death of King T’Challa. Rated PG-13.

Meat Raffle – Saturdays, 4 to 5 p.m., American Legion Post 234, 402 West Main St., Northborough. Come for the weekly meat raffle. Open to the public. Tickets on sale the day of the event.
