GRAFTON – A South Grafton business will soon be expanding to the site of the former Polish National Home on Main Street.
On Jan. 22, the Planning Board approved a special permit and site plan for the applicant, Mike Labbe of Rod LLC, to construct a warehouse and manufacturing facility.
The building will be part of expansion plans for All Phase Glass, currently doing business on Collette Street.
The new facility will consist of two buildings, each 7,440 square feet; 12,910 square feet of parking area; 4,525 square feet of gravel parking area to accommodate 20 spaces; and loading spaces in front of the two buildings.
There will be five or six employees on site during the day, with up to four deliveries per month by truck or van.
According to Grafton Town Planner Fiona Coughlan, the special permit is now in a 20day appeal period. Once the period is over, the applicant will file the decision with the Worcester registry of deeds and work on securing building permits.
The former social club closed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The building and property were sold in August 2022; the building was demolished soon afterward.
