One injured following report of explosion in Hudson

HUDSON — Hudson first responders were called to the report of an explosion at a commercial business at 106 Forest Ave. at 11:35 a.m. March 11.

According to a press release from Fire Chief Jamie Desautels and Police Chief Richard DiPersio, the caller told dispatch that one person was injured.

When the crews arrived, they reported seeing fire and heavy smoke coming from the building. The Hudson Fire Department requested a full department recall, activating all off-duty members.

One person was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.

There is no danger to the public.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Hudson Fire Department, the State Police Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit assigned to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the District 14 Fire Investigation Team.
