Ramadan Storytime

Saturday, March 16, 10 a.m., Northborough Free Library, 34 Main St. Join Amira from Crescent Connections, a local Muslim community group, for a Ramadan story and to learn more about Islamic culture and the month of Ramadan. For families with children age 3 and up. Registration is required.

Celtic Music Concert

Saturday, March 16, 11 a.m., Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St. Local musicians Deirdre Sweeney and Matt Brench will play a one-hour concert of Celtic music, both traditional folk and more modern tunes. Sponsored by the Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library.

Environmental Action Fair

Speaker Series

Korea – The Now Remembered War – Saturday, March 16, 1:30 p.m., American Heritage Museum, 568 Main St., Hudson. A special presentation by Major Michael Manougain on the Korean War and how modern military professionals are now studying and learning from it.

Mother-Son Dance

Helen Hedman, an education coordinator at The New England Center for Children (NECC), is hosting a special mother and son dance to benefit her Boston Marathon fundraising campaign supporting NECC. The event will be held on Saturday, March 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 17 Willow St. In addition to dancing, there will be food and raffles. Tickets are required for adults ($25 per person) and a donation of any amount is welcome for kids, which can be given the night of the event. Pizza, cookies, and kids’ crafts are included in the ticket price, and a photographer will be on hand.

Meal Packing Event

Sunday, March 17, Congregational Church of Westborough, 57 W. Main St., following the 10 a.m. service. The goal is to pack 30,000 meals in about four hours. Meals will be sent to the Worcester County Food Bank, which serves food pantries and other food assistance organizations throughout the area. Some of the meals will also be sent to Maui to help residents who lost everything during the fire that destroyed Lahaina.
