Gerald W. SingerEnfield, CT – Gerald William “Gerry” Singer, age 64, of Enfield, Connecticut, formerly of Springfield and Westborough, MA passed away on April 27, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. Gerry is the only son of the late Gerald and Suzanne Singer of Westborough MA.

He was the beloved husband of Linda Singer with whom he shared 38 years of marriage and a lifetime of memories. Gerry was known for his dedication to his country and served in the U.S. Marine Corps after graduating from Westborough High School in 1978.

Throughout his career, Gerry excelled in engineering and sales for injection molding machinery. He found joy in his work and cherished the relationships he built with his customers.

He was an avid fan of all New England sports teams. In his free time, Gerry found solace by a trout stream, indulging in his favorite hobby. He also had a passion for watching stock car racing, and cruising in the Caribbean with his wife and occasionally extended family where it wasn’t unusual for everyone on the ship to know Gerry’s name by the end of the trip. More than anything, he loved spending time with his wife Linda. Gerry valued the camaraderie of his fellow veterans and often visited the American Legion for a pint and good conversation.

He is survived by the love of his life, Linda, and their three children. His pride and joy was his three sons: Gerald “Jerry” Singer, Christopher Singer and his fiancée, Kettaline Sanon, and Maxwell Singer and his wife, Emily Singer. He is also survived by his three sisters: Susan Strug along with her husband Christopher, Diane Miller, and Carolann Tebbetts, along with her husband, Gary. Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. Recently, he enjoyed getting to know his new step-grandchildren.

Gerry will be remembered for his service to his country, his dedication to his work, his love for his family, and his penchant for rescuing homeless pets. He leaves behind cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1390 Main St., Agawam. A celebration of life held at the American Legion in Enfield CT from 2:00-5:00 PM will follow. Relatives and friends are invited.
