SHREWSBURY – Shrewsbury voters went to the polls on May 7 for the town’s annual election.
Residents re-elected every incumbent running for office, including James Kane for moderator, Theresa Flynn for Select Board, Jonathan Wensky for School Committee and Paul Campaniello for Shrewsbury Housing Authority, according to the unofficial results provided by the Town Clerk’s office.
Maurice Boisvert won the only contested seat of the night for a one-year term on the Library Board of Trustees.
The election had a 10.16% voter turnout.
ENOUGH!, an anti-MBTA zoning organization that recently formed in Shrewsbury, mounted a write-in campaign. The group’s website endorsed four candidates: Gregory Richards for Town Moderator, Brian Costello for Select Board, Caroline Macomber for School Committee and James Merendino for Housing Authority. Votes for ENOUGH! candidates will appear as write-in votes in unofficial results, although other write-in names may appear as part of that total.
Here are the full unofficial results, as released to the Community Advocate. The Town Meeting member races are not included.
