Nora E. MalinowskiGrafton – Nora E. (Shaughnessy) Malinowski, 82, passed away May 5, 2024 following an illness at Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation in Northborough. Her husband, Albert Malinowski, predeceased her in 1992.

Nora leaves her sons, Michael and his wife Bethany Toolin, and their daughter Hannah; and Joseph and his wife Amy, and their sons, James, Innocent and Semere; her cousins Carol Danielson and Beverly Schold; her sister-in-law Joan Malinowski, brother and sister-in-law Richard and Kris Malinowski, and several nieces and nephews; and her dear friends Lillian Jones, Audrey Stolarek and Ron Provost.

Nora was born in Worcester, MA, daughter of the late Nora B. (Mahoney) and Edward F. Shaughnessy. Her roots were in the city where she was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School Class of 1959. She and her husband settled in Grafton with their children where she lived for 53 years.

Nora was a caregiver in every way imaginable; in addition to being a loving mother to her sons and later grandchildren, in her early years of marriage she became the primary caregiver to her husband as he faced and later succumbed to many health challenges. After his passing, she continued her ministry of caregiving as a Home Health Aide with the VNA of Worcester for 20 years caring for those in her community.

She was rooted in faith, a steward for Veterans at her home parish of St. Philip’s where she also taught CCD and was a Eucharistic Minister at weekly Mass. Her faith even took her across the world to Europe as she went on a number of healing pilgrimages to Poland, Italy, Canada and France.

All are welcome to gather with Nora’s family and friends Friday May 10th from 4pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday May 11th at 11:00am at St. Philip’s Church on West Street in Grafton. She will then be laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester.

Please honor Nora in lieu of flowers with an act of caring for someone in need of it or a donation to the charity of your choice. A Book of Memories to share a message with her family is available at www.RoneyFuneralHome.com.
