NORTHBOROUGH – Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr.’s office has identified the teen killed during a shooting at a party in Northborough as Ygor Correia, 16, of Bellingham.
Early on May 12, a Northborough officer was flagged down by a pedestrian, who said that someone brandished a firearm during a party at 333 Howard St. When police were getting ready to enter the property, officers heard “multiple” gunshots, Early said during a press conference.
According to the statement of facts filed in Westborough District Court, there was a 21st birthday party at the home.
First responders provided aid to Correia, and police carried him down the hill into an ambulance where he was transported to a hospital and pronounced deceased.
A 17-year-old boy was also shot in the buttocks, and two other people were transported to the hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Three people were arraigned in Westborough District Court on May 13: Wallisom Texeira Da Silva, 20, of Hyde Park; Arnoldo Nogueira Filho, 19, of Marlborough; and Pedro Desouza Passos, 27, of Rockland.
All three are expected to return to court on May 20.
