Hudson – Raymond E. Goguen, 90, of Hudson, MA. formerly of Waltham, passed away on Saturday, March 11th, 2024, in the comfort of his home.
Born to the late Albert and Azelia Goguen on December 2nd, 1933, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada.
He was raised in Cocagne, Canada and moved with his wife, Lorraine to Waltham, MA in 1962, where he raised his family and lived until September, 2023.
As a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Raymond has always placed his family first, while teaching them the importance of faith and hard work.
Most important to him was his dedication to caring for & loving his wife, Lorraine. They spent many years together traveling around to many places. He took care of her until his final days.
In his spare time, he enjoyed taking long walks with his dear Lorraine (he was affectionately known as “the walker” in the neighborhood), skiing & camping in New Hampshire, but what brought him the most joy was the time he spent with family during the Summers in Canada. He could also be frequently found in his yard or in Hardy Pond cleaning up. He was a faithful parishioner of the former St. Joseph’s Parish, and then Our Lady comforter of the Afflicted Parish for many years.
He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Azelia Goguen.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Lorraine L. Goguen (LeBlanc) of Hudson, MA., his Children Gisele Kay of Marlborough, MA & Charles Goguen of Maynard, MA. His 2 sisters, Therese Bourgeois of Grande Digue, Canada & Rachel Hennessy of Moncton, Canada.
3 grandchildren, Tammy Kay, Corinne Goguen, Christopher Goguen and 1 great-grandchild Paul Glantz. In addition, numerous nieces, nephews, several in laws and dear friends.
