MaryJane DellagalaShrewsbury – MaryJane “MJ” (Riggieri) Dellagala, 76, longtime Shrewsbury resident, passed away peacefully on the evening of Wednesday, May 22, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 40 years, Joseph J. Dellagala, in 2009.

She leaves her daughters, Jennifer D. Arsenault and her husband Thomas J. Giblin, III, of Shrewsbury, and Stacey M. Beer, of Worcester; grandchildren, Evan J. Arsenault, Will C. Arsenault, and Matthew S. Arsenault, all of Shrewsbury, Ryan D. Beer and Alexa M. Beer, both of Florida; her siblings, Robert and Patricia Riggieri and Dolores Riggieri, all of Worcester; her niece, Rachel Vincequere and husband Thomas; and her nephew, Robert Riggieri and wife Christine. She also leaves behind many cousins and friends. MaryJane was also predeceased by her brother, Joseph Riggieri, Jr.; and their parents, Joseph R.J. Riggieri and Katherine L. (Padavano) Riggieri.

MaryJane was born, raised, and educated in Worcester, where she graduated from Commerce High School. She was a loving and dedicated homemaker for her beloved family. Her most important roles in life that she held were “Nana” and “Mom.” She valued her role as the matriarch and loved and prayed for her grandchildren every single day. She was extremely proud of all of them.

MJ was a diehard Patriots and Red Sox fan; she loved rooting for her Boston Sports teams. She also spent her time playing Bingo, participating in activities at Shrewsbury Crossings, and most of all, loving her family, by whom she will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Shrewsbury Crossings for their dedication to MaryJane during her residency.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Dellagala family from 5 – 7 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at St. Mary’s Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury. Burial will be held privately for MaryJane’s family.
