Dolores C. Hatfield, 62, of Northborough


Dolores C. HatfieldNorthborough – Dolores Carolyn (Navalta) Hatfield, 62, of Northborough, formerly of Cummington, passed away peacefully on Friday May 24, 2024, at UMass Memorial in Worcester surrounded by her family. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 3, 1961, to the late Ricardo and Vida (Bayani) Navalta.

She was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School and worked as a Nursing Assistant at the VA Medical Center in Leeds for 31 years before retiring in 2017. Dolores met and fell in love with Thomas Hatfield, they were married April 17, 1982, at the Navy Chapel Yard in Philadelphia, and together they raised their two children in Cummington.

Dolores, lovingly known by her family as Doe, loved working in her planner, shopping and crafting. She enjoyed cooking and baking treats for all to enjoy, listening to Donny & Marie and the Partridge Family, watching movies, and listening to Sunday morning sermons, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her precious granddaughters Lea and Zoe.

She is survived by her son, Ross Hatfield of Lenox, her daughter, April Kelley and her husband Leland of Northborough, granddaughters, Lea and Zoe Kelley of Northborough, her brother, Michael Navalta and his wife Rose of Corpus Christi, TX, sisters, Marquita Ligouri and her husband Mike of Cherry Hill, SC, Debra Vettraino and her husband Paul of Philadelphia, PA, Brother-in-law, Michael Hatfield of Naples, FL, and nephews, Michael, and Ricky Navalta, Michael Ligouri, and Vincent Vettraino.

Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Thomas Hatfield in 2015.

There will be a graveside service on Friday May 31, 2024, at the Spring Grove Cemetery in Florence, MA at 11 AM. DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME OF NORTHAMPTON has been entrusted with her services.
