Princeton/Hudson – Kevin J. MacDonald, 64, of Princeton, MA, formerly of Hudson, MA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Kevin was born in Newton, MA, son of the late Ronald and Mary (Rooney) MacDonald. He was raised on Kent Dr in Hudson, MA, and often spoke of the fond memories he had living there with his 6 brothers and sisters. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in Marlborough, MA, where he studied to become an auto mechanic. He resided in Hudson for most of his life prior to settling in Princeton for the past 8 years.
Kevin is survived by his daughter, Alexandra MacDonald of Auburn, MA; his two sons, Ryan MacDonald of Chelmsford, MA and Anthony MacDonald of Matthews, NC; his sister Janice Parson, and his brothers Ronald MacDonald, John Angus MacDonald, and Eugene MacDonald.
Kevin had many hobbies and interests in his life but he always looked forward to weekend trips on his motorcycle, like when he drove down the tail of the dragon in the Blue Ridge Mountains, or would attend the Wounded Vet Run.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved telling stories to anyone who would listen. He was a loving father who took his children on many adventures growing up, spent time listening to their stories at the kitchen table, and always had a unique way of explaining the world.
He expressed his creativity through restoring antique cars, painting, drawing, and helping with school projects. Kevin MacDonald will be fondly remembered for doing, saying, and living his life his own humorous way.
Visiting hours for Kevin will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12 PM in the funeral home followed by procession to Saint Michael Cemetery, Cox Street, Hudson, MA for inurnment ceremonies.
