Southborough – Irma (Bastarache) Robichaud, 103, formerly of Southborough passed away Friday, May 31st. She was the beloved wife of Gerard Robichaud who passed away in 1993.
Irma was born in New Brunswick, Canada to Adrien and Adele (Boucher) Bastarache. She was the last remaining sibling of 15.
Irma was a longtime parishioner at St. Matthew’s Church in Southborough. She worked mother’s hours at Bancroft Cap in Framingham and Alden Electronics in Westboro, but most loved being a homemaker for her family. In her free time Irma enjoyed sewing, ceramics, crafting and antiquing.
Irma is survived by two children, Denis “Bob” Robichaud (Janet) of North Attleboro and Dianne Gardner of Bellingham. She leaves four grandchildren, Lisa Gardner of Whitinsville, Kristina Gardner of Milford, Derek Robichaud of Londonderry, NH and Julia Robichaud of Chicago, IL. She was predeceased by her grandson Justin Gardner. Irma also leaves 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday June 15th at 12:15 PM in St. Matthew Parish, 26 Highland Ave. Southborough, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 10:00-11:30 AM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.
