Marlborough – Carol “Pat” Gossett, 81, of Marlborough, MA and Estero, FL, died at home on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was a Jersey Girl through and through, who never learned to pump her own gas.

She joins her late husband, James “Ronald” Gossett in heaven.

Pat and Ron lived in New Jersey where they raised three blond and beautiful daughters, all fierce Jersey Girls in their own right. She received her Master’s in Education while working, raising her daughters and caring for her family. She taught at the College level while working as a reading specialist in the local school district and spent her last decade before retiring as an elementary school Principal.

She and Ron retired to Florida in 2004.

Among her many passions were a love of the beach, scrapbooking with friends, eating pork roll and egg sandwiches for breakfast, and all-things-Disney.

Pat is survived by her 3 daughters, Erinn Stark (Kevin), Kathleen “Kara” Phinney, Patricia “Tricia” Phaneuf (Michelle Fonseca), 7 grandchildren, Sarah, Kevin Jr., Sam, Ryan, Charlie, Isabella, Maggie, as well as four nephews, Burton, Brian, David and Ben.

Along with her husband, she joins her sister, Virginia “Ginger” Leppert and her son-in-law John Phinney in heaven.

A private service will be held.

Short & Rowe Funeral Home of Marlborough assisted with arrangements.

“It’s a world of laughter
A world of tears
It’s a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There’s so much that we share
That it’s time we’re aware
It’s a small world after all.”
