Clinton – Joanne M. (Eklund) Dalrymple, 79, of Clinton, MA, formerly of Hudson, MA, passed on Sunday, July 14, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Harris O. Dalrymple, also of Clinton, MA.
Joanne was born on November 25, 1944, in Framingham, MA, to her late parents Bertle N. Eklund and Veronica (Hayes). She was born and raised in Hudson, MA, for the first 30 years of her life, and graduated from Hudson High School with the class of 1962. From there, she moved to Berlin, MA, for 20 years, and Dennis, MA, for 6 years, before settling in Clinton for 21 years until her passing. With her husband, Harris, Joanne owned and operated North Brook Greenhouses in Berlin, MA.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband Harris Dalrymple; her sons Michael Dalrymple and his wife Bonny of Berlin, MA, and Thomas Dalrymple of Hudson, MA; her sisters Maryellen DeSantis of Bolton, MA, and Kathleen Brooks of Hudson, MA; her grandchildren Kayla of Hudson, MA, and Lindsey of Waltham, MA; as well as other relatives and friends.
Joanne was a Catholic, and a parishioner of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish in Clinton, MA. She loved spending as much time as she could on the beach, and loved going to Cape Cod more than anywhere else. Joanne also loved spending time with her grandchildren, as well as baking, walking, and bicycling.
A private, family graveside service will be held at a later date.
