Shrewsbury – It is with great sadness that the family of Robert “Bob” Harold Chysna announces his passing on Monday, July 15th, at the age of 79. He was the devoted husband of Lynda S. (Witkowski) Chysna with whom he shared over 53 years of marriage.
Robert worked for many years as a systems analyst and computer engineer, before retiring in 2006. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also had a great passion for shooting. Robert proudly served our country as a veteran of the United States Army. He was affectionately known as Grandpa Bob to the children in Lynda’s family daycare.
Robert will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature and his generous heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his three children, Julie LeBeau and her husband Kenneth of Northborough, Chad Chysna and his wife Sarah of Northborough and Kevin Chysna and his wife Kristen of Reno, Nevada; his seven grandchildren, Hayley, Aaron, Evan, Jacob, Ryan, Owen and Audrey; his three siblings Richard Chysna and his wife Sarah, Dondy Chysna, and Nancy Chysna. He is predeceased by his parents Isabel and Al Chysna and his beloved grandson Cody LeBeau who passed in 1999.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at the Chiampa Funeral Home, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center, on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 4:00 P.M – 7:00 P.M. Funeral service immediately following at 7:00 P.M.
