John enjoyed traveling with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Family summers were spent in the White Mountains, as well as at the ocean. You could often catch him in the arcades playing his shooting and driving games. In the winter, he enjoyed trips to Walt Disney World, road trips with his wife to Florida and Virginia. As long as he was driving, he was happy. His famous saying was “I would drive to Maine for a cup of coffee.

John’s grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Hailey, Alex and Jennifer, would always put a smile on his face, and there wasn’t anything he would not do for them – after school rides, Burger King runs, ice cream, trips to Battleship Cove, and vacations at Disney World. While at Disney world, there was always a stop at the Hall of Presidents, so his grandchildren could learn about their country.

John enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. He talked often of them, and enjoyed family gatherings, trips to the beach, and family cookouts.
