WESTBOROUGH – Utility work on the Fruit Street Bridge as part of the I-495/I-90 interchange project will now take place Aug. 12.
The work and outages are planned to occur between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be a detour while the work is taking place. Fruit Street in Hopkinton will only be open to local traffic between North Street and Saddle Hill Road.
For westbound traffic that is looking to cross over I-495, drivers should turn left to head south on Saddle Hill, turn slightly right onto Walker, right onto Wood and continue until you reach Fruit Street.
For eastbound traffic looking to cross over I-495, drivers should follow signs to Wood Street before turning left onto Walker and continue onto Saddle Hill until you reach Fruit Street.
