Marlborough – Michael C. Desjardins, of Marlborough, was a beloved great grandfather, grandfather, father, husband and friend to many during his incredible 66 years of life. He was taken from us too soon and passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

He was the son of the late Albert O. and Frances (Zamerelli) Desjardins, the brother of late Theresa Prior and the husband of the late Cheryl (Downer) Desjardins.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Whittaker and her husband Timothy of Thompson, CT and Janean Desjardins of Wareham, MA, his son, Michael Desjardins and his wife Stefania of St. Cloud, FL, his grandchildren, Kaylee and her husband Jonathan, Tyler and his partner Jenelle, Penny, Noah, Callie and Austin and his great-grandchildren, Brady, Josie, Bryce and Bo. He is also survived by his brothers, John Desjardins and partner Laurie of Worcester, Donald Desjardins and his wife Jill of Florida and his sister, Mary Brown and her husband Jerry of Stow.

Additionally, Michael is survived by his stepdaughter Caylie Andrews and her husband Adam. As well as a step granddaughter Ava.

Michael was a graduate of Marlborough High School in 1976. He was a competitive track star running 10.1 seconds in the 100-meter dash and still currently holds the fastest record. He was a long-time employee of Stratus Computers as a Senior software Engineer.

If you knew Michael you knew he was the life of the party, he always lit up the room wherever he went. He loved his music and dancing, especially with his dance partner Penny. He loved his weekly hockey practice and dinner nights with his grandson Tyler and Great Grandson Brady. Micheal attended multiple dance recitals for his granddaughter Kaylee and was looking forward to her first child Bo, due to arrive in sept 2024. He was proud of his son Michael Jr. who is a veteran of the Airforce. Most of all he enjoyed spending time at family gatherings with all of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Michael was an avid sports fan. You could always find him watching the Pats on Sundays with friends and family. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling, especially his yearly vacation to Steel Hill.

He will forever be in our hearts and missed every day.

Visiting hours for Michael will be held Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
