WWII Tank Demonstration Weekend
Aug. 17 and 18, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, American Heritage Museum, 568 Main St., Hudson. A fantastic weekend where you can see some of the American Heritage museum’s tanks, including the M26 Pershing, M4 Sherman, M24 Chaffee and M36 Jackson, and other privately owned military vehicles operating on our tank driving grounds behind the museum. Food Drive & Collection
The Marlborough Lions Club is teaming up with Market 32 to stage a Food Drive & Collection on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 240 East Main St.
Shop at Market 32 and pick up a few extra items to help neighbors in need. The Lions will have a table outside the store to accept donations.
Food items – canned meats, canned vegetables, canned beans, beans (except garbanzo), meals in a box, pasta, sauce, rice, soups, stews, jams, jellies, peanut butter, condiments, cooking oil, crackers, cereal, oatmeal, shelf-stable milk, instant/canned potatoes, baking mixes for muffins, cakes.
Non-food items – diapers, wipes, baby powder, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, paper towels, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, shaving cream, razors, adult incontinence products.
Gift cards will also be accepted.
Donations will be sent to the Marlborough Community Cupboard.
SummerWEEN
Spooky season is arriving early, as the Marlborough Economic Development Corporation will be hosting SummerWEEN on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pumpkins and skeletons will be taking over the Marlborough Farmers Market and the Downtown Pop-Up Shops. Attendees will get to enjoy family activities, including trick-or-treat bag decorating and face painting as well as pay a visit to JR’s Spooky Shack and his famous hearse … if you dare.
40 Whacks
The Lizzie Borden Story – Saturday, Aug. 17, 1 to 2 p.m., Hudson Public Library, 3 Washington St., Hudson. With historian Christopher Daley. This program is for adults 18 years of ages and older.

Old Vienna Kaffeehaus Reunion
Saturday, Aug. 17, 1 to 9 p.m., private location in Hopkinton. A celebration for the Kaffeehaus, which operated on South Street in Westborough in the 1980s and 1990s. The event will include Lori McKenna, a double Grammy winner whose first appearance was at the Old Vienna Kaffeehaus’ open mic. Also filling the bill — Christine Lavin, Cliff Eberhardt, Duke Levine, Barbara Kessler, Don White, Deborah Henson-Conant, Peter Mulvey, Diane Zeigler with Geoffrey Cary Sather, Jim Infantino, Buddy Mondlock, Paul Della Valle with Walter Crockett, Emilia Ali, Jan Luby and many others.
