GRAFTON — Cellist Guy Fishman will be performing at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Grafton (UUSGU), 3 Grafton Common, on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

The concert benefits the UUSGU LiftUP Campaign, which is aimed at installing a vertical lift to the main meeting space and sanctuary of the meetinghouse.

The church hosts programs that serve vulnerable, at-risk and diverse populations; share space with other congregations; and work with other nonprofits. The installation of a lift ensures that people of all abilities can access the historic meetinghouse, and it makes the space more available as a community resource.

Fishman is a principal of Boston’s Handel and Haydn Society and a specialist in early music. He has performed as a soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and orchestral player for Boston Baroque, Emmanuel Music, the Boston Museum Trio and others. His dynamic performances are in demand both in this country and abroad.

Fishman plays a rare cello made in Rome in 1704.

Tickets are $25 for general seating, with limited VIP seating at $35. Children under 12 are $20. Tickets can be purchased online via https://www.eventbrite.com/e/guy-fishman-liftup-benefit-concert-tickets-886329875517
