Shrewsbury – Edward M. Foss, 86, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in the comfort of his home, with his family by his side.
He leaves his beloved wife of 62 years, Joan M. (Pecevich) Foss; his devoted children, Jane Novelle and her husband Wayne, of Shrewsbury, Gregory Foss, of Shrewsbury, and Cynthia Foss, of Worcester; his cherished grandchildren, Nikolas Ellis, Eliena Ellis, and Edward Foss; and two nieces. Edward was predeceased by his siblings, Margaret Coyle and William Foss.
Edward was born in Worcester, son of the late Francis W. and Margaret (Aspero) Foss. He was raised in Worcester as well, and was a graduate of Worcester State College, where he received a Bachelor’s degree. Edward worked as the Superintendent of the Worcester County Courthouse for thirty years before retiring.
He was a font of knowledge and was known as quite the history buff. Edward loved to golf, he was especially proud of his hole-in-one when he was playing with his best friend, Jimmy Grady. He also enjoyed walking his dog, Zoe.

A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in Section QQ of Mountain View Cemetery, Route 140, Shrewsbury.
