Wreaths Across America to come to NorthboroughNORTHBOROUGH – Wreaths Across America is coming to Northborough.

The Northboro Junior Woman’s Club, Boros Cares 4 Troops and Vincent F. Picard American Legion Post 234 will be hosting the organization on Dec. 14 at noon at Howard Street Cemetery.

Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization that was founded to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery that was begun by Morrill Worcester in 1992. Its mission is carried out in part every year by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at thousands of veterans’ cemeteries in December.

The Northborough groups will host the event at the Howard Street Cemetery to raise awareness to Wreaths Across America’s mission.

If you would like to participate by purchasing a wreath or volunteering on the day to place a wreath, contact Susan Welton ([email protected] or Martha Michalewich ([email protected]). For more information, visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/MA0219.
