Pelham, NH – Laurence “Larry” F. Isaacs, 69, of Pelham, NH, passed away on Sunday, September 29th, 2024, at his home.

Larry was born on January 25, 1955, to Marlene (Moses) and Alvin Isaacs. He was raised in Washington, DC and later, Framingham, Massachusetts. He and his family moved to Grafton MA in 1986 to raise their children. Larry graduated from Framingham South High School in the class of 1972.

In 1980, Larry opened A-Body Shop Inc and operated the business for 30 years. Larry was very proud of his Business and supported the Town of Ashland in many ways. From restoring the old Fire Truck, rebuilding the playground, buying stuffed animals for the EMT’s so they could give them to children that had to go in the ambulance. Making sure that any Police or Fire vehicles were given priority, so they were ready for duty ASAP. You could always count on him to help whenever possible. Thank you to the many employees that made A-Body Shop a success. Ed Clough and Eric Lammerding were long time employees that kept things running smoothly.

When the kids were younger Larry always volunteered to coach and sponsor the many sports, they were participating in. He cherished that time with the kids, and it kept him young. He enjoyed snowmobiling in Pittsburgh, NH or playing on the A-Body Shop softball team. He was an avid bowler, who had numerous 300 games. He loved fishing in the Berkshires. He was lucky enough to have done that on the day of his passing. One of his favorite times as a child was attending Berkshire Boys Camp in the summer. He has stayed in contact with many of the friends he made there. They loved going to the old camp site and reminiscing about the good old days.

Larry is survived by his loving sons, Justin Isaacs and his wife Shannon, Matt Isaacs and his wife Maura; his sister, Amy Isaacs Edwards and her husband Bill; as well as his aunt, Lois Shofer and family, and Fran Newton and family. In addition to many family members and friends Larry will be missed by his wife Mary Isaacs, his girlfriend Leslie Nocusa and his house partner Angela Berry.

Larry was predeceased by his Parents Marlene and Alvin Isaacs and his stepmother, Marta Lowy Isaacs.

A Celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Sunday October 27th in Massachusetts. Contact the family for details. Time and location to be determined.

Arrangements are in the care of the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.
