Donation drive to help Hurricane Helene victims

SOUTHBOROUGH – On Saturday, Oct. 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a donation drive to help victims of Hurricane Helene.

Stop by the senior center, 9 Cordaville Road, and donate the following items: dry shampoo, adult diapers, Benadryl (all ages), paper cups, flashlights, bottled water, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, poison ivy/oak medicines, bleach, gas cans for generators, baby wipes, baby diapers (all sizes), paper plates, batteries and all cleaning supplies.

Organizers will be working with the North Wilkesboro Speedway; donations will be distributed through Wilkes County Emergency Management and Samaritan’s Purse to communities in need.

Ted’s of Fayville will provide transportation.
