Townsend – Krystal W. Carlson-Devlin, 67, formerly of Shrewsbury and Townsend died Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Henry Heywood Memorial Hospital, Gardner.
Krystal was born in Worcester, March 8, 1957, a daughter of the late Kenneth W. and Irma J. (Smith) Carlson and was a member of the 1975 class at North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend. She later continued her education at Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner.
Krystal had worked as a manager at Walmart in Orange and previously worked at Stuarts Department Store in Fitchburg. She had also worked as a self-employed truck driver.
She leaves her son, Adam Thibeault of Boston; four sisters, Cyndy L. DeMartino of Townsend, Susan Holloway of Kentucky, Karyn Strawser of Michigan, Karyl Shoemaker of Warwick and her former husband, Richard Thibeault of Townsend. She also leaves many nieces and nephews as well as her good friend and roommate, Marge, of Gardner.
She was the sister of the late Kennth G. Carlson of Winchendon and Tia Marie Sevino of Clinton.
Krystal was a very loving person with a great sense of humor. She loves all animals, especially horses. She had many interests including old cars, western movies, playing guitar and singing country music. She was an accomplished needle artist in crewel embroidery and needlepoint.
Krystal’s family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation period 9 -10 AM Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte 119) Townsend Center. A service of prayer and reflection will be held at 10 AM.
Prayers of committal will be offered at 1 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at All Faiths Cemetery, 7 Island Road, Worcester.
