Grafton – Christine J. (Masnicki) Bishop, 64, passed away November 3, 2024 at home surrounded by family following a courageous 7 year battle against multiple myeloma.
She leaves her children Jason Bishop, Stephanie Agerton and her husband Orry and their children Kayden and McKinley, Brian Bishop and his fiancé Jennifer Weiss and her brothers John and Stephen Masnicki, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Bishop.
Christine was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Janina (Jamroz) and Walter Masnicki. Her roots were in Bay Ridge where she spent her early years and found work as a Director of Co-op and Condo Conversions. Eventually she relocated to Massachusetts where she was a Mom first for years when her three children were growing up and was even known as “Momma B” to her own children’s friends. She was a master of many trades and finished her career working as a server at Outback Steakhouse in Westborough, another perfect fit for her being the social butterfly she was.
Away from work, it was still family first to her children and grandchildren who will miss their “Babci.” Christine was a fierce pickleball player and loved the sand on her toes at the beach and time with friends around town, always with her daily Diet Coke in hand. Though she will be missed by many, Christine was an inspiration and her fighting spirit will live on.
All are welcome to gather with Christine’s family and friends Friday November 8th from 10:30am-12:30pm at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., N. Grafton, MA 01536 followed by the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 1pm at St. James Church 89 Main St. S. Grafton, MA 01560. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers please remember Christine with donations to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation at http://www.themmrf.org.
