Westborough – Jerome J. Hall, 84, of Westborough, formerly of Natick, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Born in Natick on May 10, 1940, Jerome was the son of the late Francis and Catherine (Rice) Hall. He was raised in Natick, attended Natick High School and proudly earned a place in the Natick High School Athletic Hall of Fame for Football, Hockey and Track. His passion for education led him to Dean College and Boston University where he earned his Master’s Degree in Education.
For many years, Jerry dedicated his life to teaching Physical Education in the Framingham Public Schools. He was also a devoted hockey coach for his son’s Framingham Youth Hockey teams in addition to being a High School coach for Framingham South High School, where he inspired countless young athletes with his knowledge and enthusiasm for the game.
As a devoted father, Jerry was a constant source of support for his children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews, always present at their sports games, graduations and countless activities. He was a wonderful role model and an anchor for his family, showing kindness and support to all.
Jerry’s generosity extended beyond his family, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors. His warm spirit and infectious sense of humor brought joy to those around him, and he was truly an all-around good guy.
Jerry is predeceased by his sister Janet George and his brothers, John Hall, Joel Hall and William Hall. He was the loving father of Pamela Bannon and her husband Mark of Hopkinton, MA, Rhonda Fraser and her husband Garth, of Grafton, MA and Glen Hall and his partner, Tara Burke of Jacksonville Beach, FL. Jerry was the loving grandfather to four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren Olivia (Fraser) Flynn and husband Shawn Flynn, Hunter Fraser, Ryan Bannon, Cory Bannon, and great-grandsons Morgan and Wiley Flynn.
Jerry was beloved and survived by brother Arthur Hall and wife Lynn, of Holliston, Gerard Hall, of Framingham, Kevin Hall, of North Carolina and Peter Hall and wife Jill, of Natick and Sheila Tosches and her husband Steve of Bellingham. He was especially fond of his niece Elizabeth Hughes and her children as well as many other nieces and nephews.
