WESTBOROUGH – Starting today, there will be two separate containers for plastics and cans at the transfer station.

On Sept. 10, the Select Board voted to make changes to recycling at the transfer station. According to a press release from the Board of Health, the Select Board made the change due to it being a cost saving to residents.

As part of the changes, plastics and cans will be in two separate containers; paper will also be in its own container.

The Board of Health urged any residents in need of assistance at the transfer station to ask E.L. Harvey staff and Waste Management Program Coordinators.
