Shrewsbury – Michel Ovide Brodeur, 63, of Shrewsbury, died November 10, 2024 at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester surrounded by his loving family.

He was the son of the late Robert A. and Marie E. (Fornaciari) Brodeur of Marlborough, MA.

Lovingly referred to as Mic, he grew up and spent most of his life in Marlborough, making many friends along the way. He was quick witted, always ready with a joke, and had a great sense of humor. As a graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School class of 1979, he spent his life working in the auto collision industry and ran his own shop for many years in Marlborough.

He loved to spend time on his boat and enjoyed his canine companions. Mic faced many obstacles throughout his life and always persevered, including becoming an amputee in 2021. Determined to walk again after his amputation, he rehabilitated himself and spent many hours walking around Lake Chauncy, adjusting to his series of prosthetics.

A devoted dad, his greatest accomplishment was taking care of his family. He is survived by his children, Collin Brodeur of California, Madison Brodeur of Millbury, Lindsay Brodeur of Worcester, Sarah Brodeur of Woburn and Ethan Brodeur of Marlborough, his grandchildren, Riley J. Brodeur, Lillian L. Uhlman and Anthony M. Rodriguez, his nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is also survived by his brothers Alan J. Brodeur and wife Elaine and Donald B. Brodeur and wife Kathy, along with his partner Krysta Kay, and former partners Christine Boyle and Lisa Ragan-Whitmore.

He was predeceased by his brother, Robert P. Brodeur, and his sister-in-law, Susan L. Brodeur.

Mic will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Following cremation there will be a Celebration of his Life at a later date.

The Short & Rowe Funeral Home of Marlborough assisted with arrangements.
