Clinton/Northborough – Stephen B. Ashman, 60, of Clinton, formerly of Northborough, MA, died on November 9, 2024, at Clinton Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 29 years to the late Dianne L. (Mayberry) who passed away in 2018.

Born in Framingham, MA, son of the late Donald Ashman and survived by his mother Claire (Daigneault) Ashman. Stephen was raised in Stow, MA where he attended local schools and was a graduate of Minuteman Technical High School in Lexington, MA. He was a finish carpenter by trade working locally for many years. Stephen spent most of those years working with his brothers on many contract construction projects. He resided in Northborough, MA for 25+ years prior to spending his past 3 years in Clinton, MA. He was a former member of the Northborough Knights of Columbus.

Besides his mother, Stephen leaves his two daughters, Marie L. Ashman of Hudson, MA and Angela N. Ashman of San Francisco, CA. He is also survived by his siblings, Janet Kettle, Kaye (Joe) Cacciatore, Robert (Pam) Ashman, Laurie (Jim) Marcheterre, (Karen) Ashman, David (Carole) Ashman, Chris (Jeanne) Ashman, Joanne (Jerry), and Mark (Karin) Ashman along with his many beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Stephen is predeceased by his brother, Larry, his sister-in-law, Regina, his brother Donald and his brother Ricky.

Stephen was one of 12 children and loved to be surrounded by his family and friends. He loved people in general and never hesitated to strike up a conversation or simple hello to anyone he met. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed ocean and lake fishing, camping or just enjoying the day outside. In his spare time, he looked forward to watching Sci-fi and old-Western movies, cheering on the New England Patriots, and sharing stories with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his unique way of helping others in need and his love and respect of others by all those who loved and knew him.

Family and friends may gather at the Tighe Hamilton funeral home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA to remember Stephen on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, with visiting hours from 2:00 to 4:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Stephen’s life at 4:00 PM.
