HUDSON – Jonathan Nelson has been hired to serve as chief financial officer/treasurer at Avidia Bank.

Avidia leaders said that Nelson’s hiring is part of their strategic commitment to future growth.
Nelson has over two decades of experience working in finance and treasury for large and small financial institutions. Most recently, he served as the senior vice president and treasurer for Independent Bank Corp., which is the parent company of Rockland Trust. He successfully guided the bank through several mergers and acquisitions in this role and has experience in capital planning, derivatives, fixed-income securities, interest-rate risk, liquidity risk, strategic planning and corporate finance.
Nelson previously worked as the institution’s asset/liability manager and has also worked at Skowhegan Savings Bank of Maine and Cape Cod Bank.
