WESTBOROUGH – The Westborough Fire Department responded to a pair of accidents with injuries over the weekend, including a crash involving a postal vehicle.
On Saturday, Nov. 16, firefighters responded to a crash at the Mass. Turnpike eastbound at the 106-mile marker.
On Sunday, Nov. 17, a postal vehicle was struck by a motorist in the area of 131 Milk St. A photo shared by the department showed the vehicle on its side.
According to the Westborough Police Department, the postal carrier was making a left turn when it was hit.
The operator of the vehicle that struck the postal carrier was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. They were also issued a motor vehicle citation.
