Grafton – John P. McDonough, 51, passed away November 16, 2024.
John is survived by his three daughters, Abigail R., Shannon F. and Kenzie M. of Maine. Three brothers Michael E. and his wife Lynn of Dudley, Mark S., and Joseph F. both of North Grafton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and several aunts and uncles.
John was born in Worcester on August 7, 1973, son of Francis M. “Frank” and Marjorie J. McDonough. He was raised in Grafton and was a graduate of Grafton High School. John worked for various construction companies over the years, as a skilled carpenter. He was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a cub scout. The greatest joy in his life was his daughters. He enjoyed vacations on Cape Cod and camping. He was a lifelong sports fan cheering on the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Boston Bruins. He was also a dog lover, having many wonderful furry friends over the years.
His family asks, in lieu of flowers, to honor John with Memorial Donations to the Grafton Food Bank PO Box 321 Grafton, MA 01519, an organization near and dear to his late mother Marjorie or an animal organization of your choice.
John will be laid to rest with his parents in Pine Grove Cemetery in a private service with arrangements under the care of Roney Funeral Home in North Grafton.
