March 26, 1964 – Nov. 6, 2024
Millbury – David J. Halloran, 60, of Millbury and formerly of Grafton and Framingham, passed away peacefully, November 6, 2024. Born in Framingham, he was the beloved son of the late William & Rosemary Halloran.
Dave was raised and educated in Framingham and was a graduate of Framingham State. He received his MS in criminal justice from Westfield State. David worked as a social worker with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) for 30 years.
Known for his infectious laugh that would brighten any room, Dave spent 25 years in Grafton raising his boys. He loved nothing more than coaching and attending any and all of their sporting events. Dave was an avid Boston Sports fan and held Patriots season tickets for many years. If the opportunity to go to a Boston sporting event came around, he was there.
Dave loved music, barbecuing and traveling. Busting a move in a Hawaiian shirt while grilling, grooving, socializing and laughing until tears streamed down his cheeks always made for his perfect day.
Dave is survived by his sons, Brendan of Manchester, NH, and James of So. Jordan, Utah, as well as many cousins and friends.
Family and friends will honor and remember David’s life by celebrating his Funeral Mass on Monday morning, November 25th in St. Stephen Church, 221 Concord St. Framingham at 11am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in David’s name to: The Framingham Heart Study, https://www.framinghamheartstudy.org/.
Norton Funeral Home of Framingham assisted with arrangements.
