New Toy and Clothing Drive
Nov. 29-Dec. 10. Drop off new toys and clothing to the donation box inside the vestibule at 32 Cordaville Road, Southborough. Donations will be sent to Project Just Because, an organization that helps families in need.
Christmas Tree Sales
The Southborough Firefighters Association’s annual Christmas Tree Sale will begin on Friday, Nov. 29, and run until all trees are sold. The sale will take place at the Southborough Golf Club parking lot (behind the public safety building). Hours will be weekends from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and weekdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Delivery to Southborough residents available for an additional fee of $10.
Civic Club Tree and Wreath Sale
Begins Saturday, Nov. 30, at the front of Hastings Elementary School, East Main Street, Westborough. Proceeds from the sale go right back to the town through the Civic Club’s contributions to local initiatives and organizations. Hours will be weekdays from 3:30 to 8 p.m., weekends from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Fill a Cruiser
Saturday, Nov. 30, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Homefield Credit Union, 86 Worcester St., Grafton. Sponsored by the Grafton Police Department, in partnership with Toys for Kids & Teens. Stop by and donate a toy or gift card to ensure that every local child has a happy holiday.
Brunch and Board Games
Saturday, Nov. 30, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St. Try out a new board game, or bring your own to set up a game. Brunch and board games is intended for adults to try new games, teach games you love and connect with others. There are some light snacks provided to keep you going. Come as a group or as an individual. We’ll provide some games for you to try out, but you are welcome to bring a game you’ve been wanting to play.
Registration is preferred to get an accurate snack amount, but not required.

Firefighter’s Christmas Storytime
Saturday, Nov. 30, 1 p.m., Northborough Free Library, 34 Main St. Join local author and firefighter Michael Parr as he reads his book, “A Firehouse’s Night Before Christmas.” Children and families will follow along as a brave team of firefighters respond to a fire on Christmas Eve, combining holiday cheer with practical lessons on home fire escape plans, smoke alarms, and more. After the story, there will be live music, a book signing opportunity and a fun craft. Registration required.

Tough 10/Fast 5 Turkey Trot
Sunday, Dec. 1. The Highland City Striders is getting ready for its annual Tough 10/ Fast 5 Turkey Trot. The race will take place at Ghiloni Park and begin at 9 a.m. Both races are free, though the organization asks participants to bring 15 canned goods to donate. There will be medals for the top finishers in each race, and prizes will be distributed at random, including a free entry into the Central Mass Striders’ Freezer Five Race; a $100 gift card to Apex Entertainment; gift cards to Lost Shoe, Raising Canes and StretchMed; swag and awards to the top three biggest teams.

Warm Winter Sing-Along
Sunday, Dec. 1, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Westborough Public Library, 55 W. Main St. Kids and caregivers are invited to drop-into the library before the Holiday Stroll to get into the spirit of the season! Stop by anytime between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. to join musician Sarah Gardner for a fun, festive sing-along that will include a variety of seasonal and holiday songs, as well as lots of instruments that are perfect for little hands.
Open to kids of all ages with a caregiver No registration required.
Winter Lights Celebration/Holiday Stroll
Sunday, Dec. 1, 5 to 6:30 p.m., downtown Rotary and Main Street, Westborough. Holiday Stroll will be from 2 to 5 p.m. with the Light Parade and Santa on the Rotary afterwards. The WHS Chorus will perform. Sponsored by the Economic Development Committee, Rotary Club of Westborough and the Recreation Department.
