Fill the Wagon

Saturday, Dec. 7, 9 a.m. to noon, Shrewsbury Police Station, 106 Maple Ave. Donations of new (unwrapped) toys, gift cards, personal care items, paper products and new warm clothes for infants to teens will be accepted. All donations will go to St. Anne’s Human Services and Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services.

Kid Shop

Saturday, Dec. 7, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., St. Anne’s Parish Hall, 20 Boston Road, Southborough. Sponsored by Troop 92. Bring your kids to shop for gifts to give family and friends all on their own, with a little help from our Boy Scouts while you sit back and enjoy some coffee and treats. We even provide wrapping, so the gifts are ready to be given.

Evergreen Christmas Fair

Saturday, Dec. 7, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Congregational Church of Westborough, 57 W. Main St. Homemade gifts, silent auction, Grandma’s Attic, Grandma’s Treasures, handwork, a full room of gingerbread, jewelry and baked goods. Have lunch at the Christmas Cafe with homemade soups and sandwiches.

There will also be Santa’s Workshop, where kids can do some holiday shopping. Gifts and gift baskets are easily priced, with most ranging from 50 cents to $11 and most items are priced below $5 each.

All profits from Santa’s Workshop go to the missions and programs of the Congregational Church of Westborough. Cookie decorating, kids’ crafts and photos with Santa are available just around the corner on the same floor.

Holiday Bazaar

Saturday, Dec. 7, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., William Sibley House, 13 Parkman St., Westborough. Sponsored by the Westborough Historical Society. Discover treasures to brighten the holidays — artwork, ceramics, collectible dolls, china, holiday books, jewelry, vintage linens.

Hudson Holiday Stroll

Dec. 7, 3 to 7 p.m., rain or shine. Sponsored by the Hudson Business Association.

Yuletide Market and Light the Common

Saturday, Dec. 7, 4 to 8 p.m., Shrewsbury Town Common and three lots of adjacent businesses. The Yuletide Market opens at 4 p.m., and at 4:45 p.m. more than 31,000 lights on the Common will be flipped on in a display accompanied by holiday music. Admission is free, but pets are not allowed by the Board of Health regulations. Free parking is available at First Congregational Church, Shrewsbury Public Library and the former Beal School.

Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 7, 5 p.m., corner of Blake Street and Route 20, Northborough. The tree lighting is held in honor of Neil Ellsworth. The national anthem will be sung by Ellsworth’s niece, Mary Kate Pezzillo. The Northborough fifth-grade chorus will perform, and treats will be provided. Donations will be taken for the Northborough Food Pantry and Toys for Tots.

Grafton Celebrates the Holidays

Sunday, Dec. 8. Craft and vendor fair from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Grafton High School. There will be also Frosty Stops and the tree lighting on the Common.

Holiday Stroll

Sunday, Dec. 8, noon to 6 p.m., Main Street, Marlborough. The event will feature a synthetic ice-skating rink with skate rentals; a trackless train giving rides up and down Main Street; an appearance by the Grinch; face painting; a s’mores station; carolers; a festival of trees; vendors; and the tree lighting ceremony at Union Common with Santa. The Marlborough High School Choir and Orchestra will perform at First Church.

Lucia Fest

Sunday, Dec. 8, noon to 4 p.m., SAC Park, 438 Lake St., Shrewsbury. $10 admission, free for children under 12 years of age. There will be music and dance, gift shopping, baked goods, kids’ crafts and activities, basket raffles and homemade glogg. A traditional Swedish lunch will be served from noon to 2:30 p.m., for a cost of $15. The Lucia procession will take place at 3:30 p.m.
