Rotonda West, FL – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia “Tricia” (Flanagan) Ritchell, 56, of Rotonda West, Florida on the morning of November 27, 2024 with her husband and children at her side.
A beloved wife, mother, and friend to many, Tricia will always be remembered for her larger-than-life personality, unmistakable laugh, and willingness to help anyone in need.
Born on April 18, 1968, Tricia was raised in Marlborough, Massachusetts as the only daughter of Diane and Richard “Dick” Flanagan, alongside her three younger brothers: Mike, Paul, and Kevin.
Tricia spent most of her life in Massachusetts where she raised three children: Michael, Thomas, and Allison. Tricia’s favorite job was being a mother, followed closely by “holding court” for her favorite customers as a bartender. When she was not mothering or bartending, she loved cheering on her beloved Red Sox and Patriots, getting together with friends, going to the beach, being an avid reader, and taking cruises with her husband. Tricia truly brought such joy and fun wherever she went.
Tricia married the love of her life, Christopher “Chris” Ritchell, on June 20th, 2015. Together the two fulfilled Tricia’s lifelong dream of moving to Florida where they have resided since 2020.
Tricia is survived by her husband, Chris; her sons, Michael Ruth and Thomas Wickham; her daughter, Allison Wickham; her brothers, Mike, Paul, and Kevin Flanagan; her beloved dog, Cooper; and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Diane (King) and Dick Flanagan; as well as her great-aunt, Carole Avey.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 4-7pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.
A celebration of Tricia’s life will be held in April 2025. Although Tricia is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
