Daytona Beach, FL – Richard A. Oram Jr., 69 of Daytona Beach FL and formerly of Marlborough, MA passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Richard was born in Marlborough, MA, the son of Richard A. and Dawn E. (Washburn) Oram.

He was raised in Marlborough and served in the U.S. Marine Corps where he traveled throughout the world including Europe, Asia and the Pacific. Rick described his time in the Marines as one of the biggest rides of his life, filled with the lowest of lows and the highest of highs, but he loved it, and he was grateful for every second of it.

He was a hardworking, resilient man with a heart of gold, who never let the shortcomings in life turn him cold. He could find humor in even the most serious of situations and was always the life of the party. Anywhere he went, you would know Rick was there, offering up funny commentary and one-liners that would have the whole room laughing.

When Rick wasn’t being a comedian, he loved fishing, spending time with loved ones, soaking up the sunshine, and hopping on his beloved Harley for a joy ride around town. He left this world too early but will never be far away, to live in the hearts of those that love you is to live forever.

He was predeceased by his wife Z. Maria (Rego) Oram at an early age and raised his youngest children as a single parent.

Richard is survived by his 5 children, Jennifer Oram of MA, Joshua Oram of FL, Heidi Oram of NY, Kristen McKinley of MA, Nichole Oram of MA, his father Richard Oram Sr., of MA, 3 sisters, Melody Thibodeau and her husband David, Bonnie Johnson and her husband Tony, Rhonda McNeal and her husband Guy, as well as several nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends.

Besides his wife, Richard was predeceased by his mother Dawn Oram, brother Paul Oram and stepfather Harold Beland.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 4-6 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA. Burial will be at a later date.
