Bow, NH – Charlotte Ann Higgins, 88, of Bow, NH and formerly of Northborough, MA passed away on Dec 18, 2024.
She is survived by a son, William J. Higgins Jr. and wife Leslie (Johnson) of Newtown Square PA, daughter Amy Knepper and husband Randy of Bow, 5 grandchildren – Kelly, Bretta, Chris, William, and John. She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Higgins Sr.
A proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Mayflower Societies, she was born in Nashua, NH on August 14, 1936 to Martin Thomas Maney and Charlotte Agnes (Putnam) Maney. Charlotte grew up in Nashua and graduated from Regis College, Weston, MA.
Charlotte was a French teacher before becoming an educator specializing in learning disabilities. She worked in the Marlboro, MA public school system.
Charlotte’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren including annual trips to NYC for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, gingerbread house making, and time at the beach.
Her family is appreciative of the care Charlotte received at both Granite Ledges and Granite Visting Nurse Association Hospice House in Concord.
A private service will take place for the family at a future date. Burial will be at the Howard St Cemetery in Northborough, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Granite VNA.
