Marlborough – Earlon Ashley Kenney 91 of Marlborough passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024.
Earlon was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, the son of the late Harold A. and Eva (Harding) Kenney.
After High School he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War onboard the USS Purdy. Shortly following his honorable discharge, Earlon began working at Raytheon.
He used his GI and Raytheon benefits to pay for classes at MIT. He earned numerous promotions during his 39 years at Raytheon before retiring at the age of 62.
He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years Yvonne M. (Arseneault) Kenney in 2018.
Earlon is survived by his 2 daughters, Donna Holly and her husband Steven of NJ, Cynthia Kenney of Marlborough, his son, Michael Kenney of MD, grandson Ethan Holly of CA, granddaughter Michaela Benting, her husband Rob and great grandson Cooper of NH.
Earlon was a devoted and loving husband, he was a supportive, caring, warmhearted father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle who will be tremendously missed.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Noon in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.
Visitation will be held prior to his Funeral Service from 10 am – Noon also at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to either The Wounded Warrior Project or to Disabled American Veterans.
