MARLBOROUGH – Congratulations go to the following Marlborough Public School musicians who were chosen to represent Marlborough in the 136th Rose Parade in Pasadena, California: Giada, Megan, Riley, Lalli and Ally. They performed and marched with the New England Honor Band. Former teacher, Angie Crockwell, nominated these outstanding musical students for this exciting opportunity.

ON CHRISTMAS DAY, there was a lot of activity at Stevie’s Café and Catering in Hudson. Many volunteers joined Steve Dumbro in fulfilling his mission to feed people in need.

Steve, founder and president of Feed A Neighbor, Inc., made a lot of food insecure individuals meals for the Dec. 25 holiday. Over the years, more than 30,000 meals have been served, with volunteers helping to prepare food, put meals together, deliver the food and more. Feed A Neighbor also depends on donations to be successful. If you are in need of a meal, please call 978-310-7051.

THE MARLBOROUGH PUBLIC SCHOOLS are excited to share that Wraparound Services has partnered with Alexion Pharmaceuticals to bring a little extra care to families.

Thanks to the generosity of Alexion’s USMA Medical Excellence Team, led by Rachel McDonnell, they received an incredible donation of 120 care packages. Each package included long underwear, gloves, chapstick, and pencil kits—essentials that make a big difference during this season. These thoughtful items have been distributed to families during coat drives and our “Welcome to MPS” newcomer orientation events.

Thank you, Alexion, and Rachel McDonnell, for supporting the community. Together, it’s making Marlborough warmer and brighter this winter.

THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON, the Marlborough Lions Club is proud to bring smiles to 20 children living in shelters by sharing the joy of gift-giving. The Lions’ members went above and beyond, shopping for personalized presents to make the holidays a little brighter for these special kids. The Lions’ dedication and compassion are what make the club truly shine.

In the Lions Club, they believe in making a difference in the community, one act of kindness at a time. Whether it’s supporting families in need, hosting events, or lending a helping hand, they serve because together, they can create magic for those who need it most.

A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible Lions who made this initiative possible. Your generosity is what keeps their mission alive. And thank you, Lion Marlene, for coordinating this project. Happy Holidays from the Marlborough Lions Club.
